Smurfit Kappa receives recognition from the Valencia Chamber of Commerce in the presence of the King and Queen

Smurfit Kappa has received recognition as an international company from the Valencia Chamber of Commerce for its collaboration and investment in the region. Ignacio Sevillano, CEO of Smurfit Kappa Spain | Portugal | Morocco, accepted the award at a ceremony held 7 November at Valencia’s The Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía building, which was chaired by their Royal Highnesses, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia.

At the award ceremony, the CEO of Smurfit Kappa Spain | Portugal | Morocco acknowledged “the effort and commitment of all our employees in a region that has made us feel at home from day one.” He called this unique prize “an honour that acknowledges our hard work and determination to offer companies the most suitable and sustainable packaging solutions for their businesses.”

For his part, the president of the Valencia Chamber of Commerce, José Vicente Morata, praised “the excellence, social commitment, and investment of Smurfit Kappa in the region. For that reason, we offer our sincerest thanks for the work undertaken in the province of Valencia and its special contribution to the general interest of the region’s economy.”

The Valencia Chamber of Commerce presents these awards annually in recognition of the work of companies operating in the province, as a reward for their unique contribution to the region’s economic development. Such is the case with Smurfit Kappa, which also dedicates considerable investment to R&D in an effort to offer its customers solutions that meet all of their needs and help them cut costs, boost sales, minimise risks, and make their businesses more sustainable.
