In 2022 we launched Smurfit Kappa Rise which sets out to uniquely support the development our female employees; to help enhance their belief in their own abilities and give them the skills to manage challenges commonly faced in the workplace. 

Since its launch we have had phenomenal response and exceptional results. A unique element of this programme amongst our suite of SK Academy programmes is that access to the programme is by self-nomination and is therefore open to all female employees, regardless of their function, position, or location who want to build and grow their careers in Smurfit Kappa. 

In 2023 we were pleased to increase the access even further by developing and running the programme in Spanish, the very first SK Academy non-English programme, thereby offering increased access to group programmes for those who speak Spanish. 

In 2024 we will grow the programme further by increasing the number of attendees at each programme and we plan to add another 100 participants to our alumni in that year.
