Founded in 1977 in the French Champagne region, Epernay was our first Bag-in-Box^® plant. Today, the plant is the biggest bags production facility in Europe, supplying France, Northern and Eastern Europe. It is  the only Smurfit Kappa Bag-in-Box plant that manufactures Pouch-Up^®. Safe, modern and ultra-clean, our facility is unique in the world and offers the highest standards in the industry to ensure maximal food safety to our customers.

Our plant serves as headquarters of Smurfit Kappa’s Bag-in-Box division and therefore is head office of the following divisional departments:

• BIB Equipment: Experts in machinery and complete Bag-in-Box filling lines. Conception, manufacturing, installation and after-sales service. Check out our complete BIB filling machines offer here.
• R&D Department: Our team of experts work hard to keep on innovating and continuously improving our products to meet our customers’ and markets’ needs. To do so they have at their disposal a Laboratory and a Technical Centre with state-of-the art equipment and technologies.

Our plant also opened an Experience Centre; a place for customers to get hands-on experience and explore how Bag-in-Box® and Pouch-Up® solutions can meet their business needs.
