Cherishing our retired employees
At Smurfit Kappa, we take great pride in staying connected with our former colleagues and celebrating their incredible milestones. This June, we are especially honoured to commemorate the significant jubilee of Mrs. Emilie Paulerová, who took part in our reunion at the remarkable age of 103 years.
Emilie has been a long-standing part of the Smurfit Kappa family, working for many years in the production department of our Žimrovice corrugated packaging plant. As we celebrate her 103rd birthday, we extend our heartfelt wishes for her continued health and happiness, surrounded by her family and friends.
Our respect and admiration for seniors is reflected in our continuous efforts to stay connected with our former colleagues. Every year for the past 40 years, the Žimrovice packaging plant and Morava Paper mill in the Czech Republic organise a special gathering to honour our seniors and strengthen the special connections we share.
Last week, we were delighted to host yet another heart-warming reunion, attended by more than 80 seniors. It was an occasion filled with laughter, shared memories, and the celebration of enduring friendships. These annual meetings are a testament to the strong sense of community and respect that defines our company.
We are proud to keep the older generation involved in this tradition, many of whom have sons, daughters, or grandchildren working at Smurfit Kappa today. It is a testament to our enduring commitment to community and family, celebrating the rich history and lasting bonds that define us.
At Smurfit Kappa, our global inclusion and diversity programme recognises all forms of family and appreciates EveryOne’s lived experiences from young to old.
