Smurfit Kappa CEO appointed Chairman of CEPI
Smurfit Kappa announces that Gary McGann, Group Chief Executive Officer, has been appointed Chairman of The Confederation of European Paper Industries (‘CEPI‘) with effect from 1 January 2014.
CEPI is a Brussels-based non-profit organisation representing the European pulp and paper industry. Mr McGann will succeed Jussi Pessonen, the Chief Executive Officer of UPM.
The role of Chairman has a term of two years, during which time the Chairman is responsible for representing the European pulp and paper industry at an EU and international level. Mr McGann has been a member of the CEPI Board since 2010.
