Developing eye-catching packaging for SIMAN's credit card launch

The Challenge
Almacenes SIMAN, is a department store that operates in several Central American countries. With the global support of Visa, they decided to venture into the credit card market with a brand of their own, CREDISMAN. The challenge was to create attractive packaging of superior quality, to reinforce brand loyalty and trust. It also needed to be multi-functional in order to contain the card as well as other elements.

The Approach
The Engineering team, using Artios Cad and Adobe Illustrator software, designed a case and an envelope with special finishes (UV varnish, matt varnish and embossing), printed on metallized cardboard to store the credit card and other elements. The design was made with some variations to distinguish the Black & Platinum and Gold & Classic card categories.

The Result
The new Credisiman card generated high demand and exceeded customer expectations. Almacenes Siman planned to reach 1,500 users out of a total of 5,000 affiliates in its launch month. They managed to reach 1,800 customers. On top of that, 120% of the expected customers replaced the traditional card with the new Credisiman Visa card. The outreach of the new Credisiman card is greater than that of the traditional card.
