Helping Art in Piece create sustainable, innovative eCommerce packaging

The Challenge
Art in Piece is a Brazilian company passionate about championing causes, such as the work of artists. They had been selling their collectable puzzles online either in a wooden box or a fabric bag, with both requiring a shipping box. The challenge was to develop a unique and sustainable solution, with cost-benefits which could be used for both shipment and presentation.

The Approach
Working closely with Art in Piece to understand their needs, we ran a design workshop together using our unique tools including Innobook. Here we developed a hexagonal corrugated pack, plain on the outside for shipping and decorative on the inside. We also printed the puzzle instructions inside the pack as well as QR codes which take recipients to Art in Piece’s Instagram page and to a video of the artist who has made that puzzle.

The Result
By switching to a single corrugated pack which could be used for shipping and gift presentation, Art in Piece were able to significantly reduce their packaging costs. They now have a sustainable, cost-effective and importantly stunning pack which meets all their eCommerce needs.
