Smurfit Kappa at SIVAL 2016
Smurfit Kappa will exhibit its range of packaging solutions for apple juice at the SIVAL trade show from January 12-14.
SIVAL is an exhibition for fruit and vegetable producers and takes place every year in Angers, France. The show will offer a great opportunity for apple juice producers to discover Smurfit Kappa’s range of packaging solutions.
The apple juice market in France and Europe has been growing in recent years and Smurfit Kappa has brought several interesting packaging solutions to the market. Florence Decock, Pouch-Up® product manager at Smurfit Kappa Bag-in-Box, explains, “The Pouch-Up® is a young, modern and innovative free-standing packaging for liquid products and particularly for apple juice since we have developed special technology for hot filling. It is perfectly suitable for the actual consumer thanks to its numerous advantages: a long shelf-life, 6-8 weeks with guaranteed quality and organoleptic properties of the juice thanks to the film and the Vitop® tap technology. It is a user-friendly packaging solution - very easy to open, to use, to handle and serve; and last but not least, the Pouch-Up® is environmentally-friendly, with a carbon footprint equivalent to only 20% of a traditional glass bottle.”
Besides the Pouch-Up® technology, Smurfit Kappa will exhibit one of the most performant filling machines for this market, the semi-automatic filling machine for Bag-in-Box® and Pouch-Up®. This is the best-selling machine of its kind, which perfectly meets the needs of small and medium producers and those who wish to start a new business.
Smurfit Kappa is one of the few players offering a complete Bag-in-Box® packaging system solution. From bags and taps, through to boxes and accessories, to complete filling lines, the company allows customers to work with a single partner throughout the whole process of packaging juice in Bag-in-Box® solutions. Throughout the years, Smurfit Kappa has developed unique expertise in the domain of hot filling. Not only by supplying top quality packaging, but also by studying and improving the whole life cycle of Bag-in-Box® packaging solutions in order to offer the optimal shelf-life to its clients and final consumers.
