The initial goal was to protect the toys in transit, with custom printed boxes improving protection and removing the need for extra labels. As the project evolved, so did the ambition. A market study was carried out, revealing key trends and opportunities, and a factory visit offered firsthand insight into the production, assembly and packaging process. These steps led to a solution that boosted both protection and presentation.

The Result
The benefits for Plasticos Fenix were clear. Sales rose 20% in Colombia’s coastal region, and the switch to paper-based packaging reduced 30 tons of plastic. The change opened doors to premium markets like PriceSmart, while distributors noted the added value of corrugated packaging—proving that better presentation can help sales. In short, a simple packaging change improved logistics, created new opportunities, and reinforced the company’s commitment to sustainability.
