Better planet packaging

Is your recyclable packaging actually being recycled?

Paper-based packaging is recyclable AND is being recycled.

Recyclable packaging is made of materials that can be used again, usually after processing, and covers packaging materials such as glass, steel, aluminium, cardboard, paper and certain plastics.

However recyclable packaging doesn’t mean that it will be recycled.

With a collection rate of 92.5% and a recycling rate of 85.8%, paper based packaging has the lowest risk of not being recycled.

It is the most common form of recycled / recyclable packaging with the lowest risk of going to landfill.

For the paper-based packaging that may end up in nature, either as landfill or litter, it disappears within months as paper is biodegradable and leaves no impact on the environment.
