International Women’s Day is an important day in the calendar for us to take a moment to acknowledge women in our work lives and personal lives. In 2023, Smurfit Kappa employees in Denmark marked the day collectively, by recognising the vulnerable women in their community and taking steps to show support and solidarity with them. To do this, the teams made donations to multiple women’s crisis centres around the country.

These centres rely on donations to carry out their vital work of providing a secure place for women and their children to live and thrive. With that in mind, the Smurfit Kappa employees were proud to present donations of DKK 5,000 to centres in Kolding, Varde, Glamsbjerg, Vejle and Vejle Ådal and the Ubbely Crisis Centre.
