We have a global strategy to continuously reduce our environmental impact.
100% of our production waste is recycled and used for the production of textile products or taps. The board waste in the paper production process is also re-used. Our plants are constantly improved and modernised to meet the strictest environmental standards.
The weight of Bag-in-Box® packaging is low compared with other packaging products. We make constant efforts to optimise the size and thickness of our films.
Unfilled packs are delivered flat, while filled packs are easy to palletise. In addition, the low weight allows us to reduce CO2 emissions during transport.
For example, one truck of 3 litre bags is the equivalent of six trucks carrying 75cl bottles. It is possible to transport an additional 40% at a time with Bag-in-Box®.
Bag-in-Box® is made of 75% board and 25% plastic. The bag and box are easy to separate. Once separated, the cardboard is recycled with a recycling rate of 77% for the European paper packaging industry. The bag can be incinerated with energy recovery. We continuously strive to improve this process.
