Smurfit Kappa’s Life Box shines at the Art of Packaging Awards

The Life Box project was awarded in the Free Style Packaging category during the Art of Packaging Awards earlier this month. Designed to protect a blue spruce seedling, this attractive packaging was made in Smurfit Kappa Poland.

The Life Box packaging was developed to protect a delicate product while being  moved and transported.  The brainchild of Bogusław Budner and Jakub Świętek, the collaboration resulted in a neat, simple pack made from corrugated board which has minimal impact on the environment.

"The project was developed with our customers and contractors in mind. With this symbol, we wanted to emphasise how important sustainable development is for us and to encourage joint actions in this field that will protect the future of the next generations," said Jakub Świętek, Head of Business Development, Smurfit Kappa Poland.

This project, which was was made in the Polska, Konin and Drezdenko plants, is another example of how innovation and sustainability permeate all aspects of Smurfit Kappa activities.
