Smurfit Kappa Packaging Solutions Belfast Plant Manager elected to CBI Northern Ireland Council

Philip Law, Plant Manager at Smurfit Kappa Packaging Solutions Belfast has recently been elected to the Confederation of British Industries (CBI) Northern Ireland Council. Having already represented SKPS Belfast on the CBI Education and Skills committee, Philip was elected to the CBI Northern Ireland Council in August 2012 for 3 years.

With 10 years in retail management and over 10 years managing in manufacturing, Philip aims to be a positive and inspiring contributor to the council and is looking forward to the challenges presented by the role. The CBI is the UK's premier business lobbying organisation, providing a voice for employers at a national and international level. The CBI mission is to promote the conditions in which businesses of all sizes and sectors in the UK can compete and prosper for the benefit of all.

CBI Northern Ireland represents around one third of the private sector workforce and over 60% of the largest employers in Northern Ireland.
