Smurfit Kappa excels at this year’s Popai POS Awards, the industry awards which recognise excellence in Point-of-Purchase Display.
Outstanding designs in three categories
The company won Silver for the L‘Oréal Advent Calendar display in the Health and Beauty category.
In the Food and Flagship Stores categories, Bronze was awarded for the Nestlé Maggi Würzbouillon and Wiebold Latte Macchiato displays.
The L‘Oréal Advent Calendar display for Maybelline Jade was recognised for showcasing the broad range of the brand. The POPAI Jury commented:
“This seasonal display is attractive and innovative, and at the same time represents a preferred positioning and product carrier. The brand is optimally presented and does not lose its appeal even after the sale.”
The light shaft solution for backlighting the product was judged to be particularly impressive.
Regarding the ¼ Chep products display for Nestlé Maggi Würzbouillon (“the Wobbler”), the jury said it was:
“An eye-catching, brand-suited second place with clear communication of the product advantages of the brand and optimal grasp of the product.”
Immediate recognition was achieved with “the Wobbler” product illustration
The judges found that the cardboard product display for Wiebold coffee pralines stood out from the crowd. The shaping of the display as a Latte Macchiato glass shifts the customer’s focus from coffee to pralines. The POPAI jury said it was:
“Eye-catching and promoting sales with its interesting design in the form of product replicas!”
Smurfit Kappa expressed its satisfaction in such success at the awards. “This year we registered three displays in the Popai Awards. We are thrilled that we won prizes for all of them.
