The duties and responsibilities include: providing information and support relating to the salary review process and a centre of excellence regarding job evaluations and International movement protocols.
Health and Safety
Key responsibilities include the monitoring and reporting of accidents and incidents; preparation of a range of safety-related reports; researching and benchmarking with other companies to establish good practices; preparation of policy and procedures relating to safe operating standards; and ongoing communication with country safety coordinators. Also responsible for the ongoing preparation of Health and Safety communications such as safety alerts and safety opinion survey. The Smurfit Kappa Group University functions in delivering the company’s learning and development needs. It is the responsibility of the team to manage programmes, and to liaise with and provide support to divisional HR on matters relating to employee development. Responsibilities for this area include maintaining a deep understanding of our retirement benefit programmes and providing support to head office HR and local management. Other responsibilities include: providing support to the finance function and managing outsourced service providers.
Being responsible for the production of Company communications such as the annual report and internal publications. Also responsible for the Company’s Internet site and development of our online presence.
Information Systems (IS)
The objective of the IS strategy is to support the efficiency and effectiveness of the operations, through harmonisation of standard solutions. The IS function, through IT departments, provides several services to the organisation. Other key responsibilities include management of the IT Infrastructure, e-Learning platforms, online office communications and management of the internal business systems.
