Innovation is only made possible at through the highly trained and motivated personnel inside the business.
This level of print advancement is allowing customers to make exciting new material choices in support of their brand image, creating on shelf impact with significant cost savings.
One example is the EFIA 2011, outstanding innovation award winning, Old Tom gift pack produced for Robinson’s Breweries. The pack was printed with a wood effect, replacing an expensive and difficult to source real wooden pack, which allowed a price point reduction of 50%. This new price point led to a revitalised market offering and a transformation of sales figures.
Robinson’s Breweries approached us with an issue. There were a number of problems with their Old Tom gift pack, originally packaged in a wooden box which was hard to source, costly and hid the contents of the pack - the bottle being one of the brand’s USPs.
“We are delighted with the new pack; Smurfit Kappa was a pleasure to deal with. They are quick off the mark with design and implementation. We finished up with a great pack without comprising our prestigious wood effect, it looks the real deal,"
John Robinson, Brand Manager at Robinson Breweries
