The Pan European Sales team negotiates and manages supply contracts, monitors performance, proposes and manages important joint development activities with customers and conducts value assessment programmes. The overriding purpose of the networking activities of the Pan European sales team is to ensure the delivery of value, in all its many aspects, concentrating both on cost savings throughout the value chain and added profit opportunities for customers. 

The aim is always to seek to work in close partnership with each and every customer, both by establishing the necessary rapport with a customer’s purchasing, technical, marketing, development and supply chain personnel and by using the global experience and expertise of the Smurfit Kappa Group to the maximum benefit of customers. 

When working in close partnership with customers, a great deal of emphasis is placed upon purposeful innovation to develop ideal packaging solutions. There is a great deal of current interest, for example, in “shelf-ready” packaging, which enables products to be loaded on to retail shelving systems in the shortest possible time but with maximum merchandising appeal. 

In Europe, Key Accounts managers and Business Development experts establish value-based relationships with customers who are organized to purchase on a regional basis. In Latin America, Smurfit Kappa companies keep close contact with their customers to better serve regional and global accounts.
