Sheetfeeding
With a corrugated board portfolio covering all possibilities from lightweight F-flute to heavy duty multi-wall, and a reliable, fast logistics network, Smurfit Kappa enables the modern professional sheetplant to perform to exacting standards in quality and service. Specialised Smurfit Kappa sheetfeeding operations are dedicated to assuring corrugated converters of a constant supply of high-quality corrugated board. Their state-of-the-art corrugators, highly flexible job scheduling and excellent logistic infrastructures allow the supply of nearly all flute types in a variety of board grades, at short delivery notice.
Most integrated Smurfit Kappa corrugated board plants run a sheetfeeding operation as part of their regular business. Some predominantly supply sheets to Smurfit Kappa plants in the region. Some specialise in particular flute types, such as F or EE grades. Others offer sheetplants a wide and cost-effective portfolio of standard board.
Fanfold®
Fanfold® corrugated board is continuous board stacked in a zigzag formation. It provides an effective solution for palletised goods of different lengths and similar cross-section. Final packages can be customised on the spot using simple or more complex cutting and creasing equipment. Fanfold is available directly or through a number of packaging merchants. We manufacture various standard qualities or apply special features such as Softcor® or Preprint.
Single Face
Some operations within the Smurfit Kappa Group supply single face corrugated as rolls, to be used in various ways as protective packaging. Such singleface can be attractively printed, thus providing attractive merchandising material.
Single face is also used as protective packaging in association with primary packaging, eg for the perfumery and cosmetics industries.
